This summer workshop is intended for children ages 8-13 years of age. Come expand your dance skills in Master Classes in Musical Theater Performing Arts & Fundamentals in Dance training! In this workshop, dancers will learn technique in Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary/Lyrical and they will have a part in designing their very own production! Dancers will have the opportunity to design and assemble their costumes, choreograph in their dance numbers, choosing lighting and setting the stage!
Each day’s itinerary will be as follows:
Dancers arrive at RBA 10 minutes before their first class, use the restroom and check-in with their parent'/guardian before going into the first technique class of the day at 1:00 PM. After class, dancers will have a short lunch break, at around 1:45 PM. Lunches are brought from home, no fast food or fast food drinks are allowed please. While we have lunch we will watch video clips from various Musicals and Productions. As we pack up and clean up from lunch, we will get together to plan out our dance number of the day & discuss costumes and other ideas for setting their scene! For the last portion of the day, we will have Choreography class which will end at approximately 3:00 PM.
On our last day, Thursday, June 18th friends and family are welcome to attend a free short performance to see the amazing work your dancers have created at The Musical Theater Dance Workshop! Performance Time is 2:15 PM.
All students must check-in and check-out on time each day and have a parent/guardian available for restroom breaks.
Deposits for Musical Theater Dance Workshop begin May 1st and final deposits are due on or before June 1st.
$200.00 is due before June 1st 2026.
Bring your own lunch & spill proof water bottles, with water inside only!
Must wear dance clothing:
Girls: leggings or tights, leotards (any colors), leather ballet slippers or Jazz Shoes and hair in a bun.
Boys: shorts, t-shirts (any colors), leather ballet slippers or Jazz Shoes and hair neatly out of the face.
